BLACK LIGHT BURNS: Debut Album To Surface In May

February 6, 2007

BLACK LIGHT BURNS, the new band featuring former LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland, will release its debut album, "Cruel Melody", on May 22 via producer Ross Robinson's new label I Am: Wolfpack. "We're rehearsing now, and will be trying to make it over to Europe for some of the festivals this summer as well as North American touring," Wes previously wrote on the band's MySpace page. "It's going to be loud, violent, really wet, and weird to be sure. This has been a REALLY long time coming, and I can't wait to see all of your faces."

The studio version of BLACK LIGHT BURNS consists of Wes Borland (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards),Danny Lohner (formerly of NINE INCH NAILS; producer, occasional guitar, bass, keys, sound design),Josh Freese (NINE INCH NAILS, THE VANDALS, DEVO, A PERFECT CIRCLE; drums and percussion) and Josh Eustis (TELEFON TEL AVIV; keyboards, sound design). Joining Borland on tour with BLACK LIGHT BURNS will be Marshall Kilpatric (ex-THE ESOTERIC) on drums, Nick Annis (THE OPEN HAND, TURN OF THE SCREW) on guitar, and two more as-yet-undetermined musicians (bassist and keyboardist).
